Local fishing industry on the rebound
The local fishing industry is on a rebound following the decimation by Hurricane Beryl, and dolphin, tuna, snapper and turpits are aplenty at the Bridgetown Fisheries Complex. This is according to Managing Director of Lashley and Waithe Fish Processors Dale Lashley. He was speaking while waiting to collect yellow fin and bigeye tuna at the Complex earlier today. However, Mr. Lashley says while some boats have returned to the water, he expects a lull which is normal at the start of the year. He is hopeful boats will return with bountiful catches.
