Local music fraternity mourns ‘Pappy the mentor’

The name Roy Cape is synonymous with music, his legacy transcending local shores... to become a global powerhouse. The 82-year-old died on Thursday at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex at 5:30pm. While it was known he had been battling prostate cancer since 2014, many soca artistes and fans are saying they are saddened by his passing. The Tourism Minister says Cape wasn't just an icon in Trinidad and Tobago, he represents all the remarkable things this country signifies. Kay-Marie Fletcher has this tribute.
