‘Long way to go’: Olympic gold medallist calls for upgrades to QSAC for Brisbane 2032

Olympic gold medallist Sally Pearson is warning Brisbane is at risk of hosting an “embarrassing” 2032 Games unless it upgrades its premier stadium. The Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre is planned to hold 40,000 spectators despite the Stade de France facilitating 80,000. Ms Pearson says Brisbane organisers have a long way to go if they want to “avoid embarrassing Australia on the world stage”.
