Loonie closes at its lowest level in almost 5 years

The Canadian dollar continued its decline Friday, closing at just above USD 0.71, its lowest level in more than four and a half years. Analysts point at a growing gap between the strength of Canada’s economy and that of the U.S. and the recent re-election of Donald Trump hasn’t helped either.
