Firefighters in Los Angeles are entering a critical stage of their six-day battle against deadly wildfires that have devastated the region. While crews have made progress across the county, officials warn that the fire threat remains “very high” as powerful Santa Ana winds, reaching up to 60 mph, are expected to return early this week. More than 153,000 residents evacuated and another 166,000 under warnings, making these blazes some of the most destructive wildfires in Los Angeles County’s history.
