Los Angeles wildfire response facing heavy criticism for perceived lack of preparation

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass has come under heavy criticism over the perceived lack of preparation to combat the catastrophic California fires. The wildfires have consumed 145 square kilometres of land and burned more than 12,000 structures, including homes, apartment buildings, and businesses. On Saturday, during local time, Ms Bass declared the response to the crisis would be fully assessed.
