In the recent Maharashtra elections, the Mahayuti alliance, led by the BJP, achieved a historic landslide victory, crossing 200 seats. This marks the largest victory for a pre-poll coalition in the state since 1972 and signifies the worst performance for the Sena, UBT, NCP, Offsher, Pawar and the Congress. The victory of the alliance is attributed to the pro-women scheme, Ladki Bahin, farmer sops, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Ek Hai Toh Safe Hai' slogan. The high strike rate of allies, CM Shinde's, Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar's NCP also contributed to the unprecedented tally. In contrast, Eknath Shinde's Sena emerged victorious, outperforming Uddhav Thackeray's Sena, and winning more seats than the entire Mahavikas Agadi combined. Despite corruption allegations and a divisive campaign, voters chose Shinde's Sena.
