Malaysia resumes hunt for MH370, a decade after it disappeared
The Malaysian government said Friday that it has agreed in principle to resume the hunt for wreckage from the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, more than 10 years after it disappeared. The country’s transport minister made the announcement to media on Friday. Flight MH370 was carrying 227 passengers and 12 crew when it vanished en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on March 8, 2014. Malaysia’s transport minister says the proposed search area comes from Ocean Infinity, which also conducted the last search for the plane that ended in 2018. The firm will receive $70 million if substantive wreckage is found, the government said.
