Malnutrition on the rise - Worsening cases of malnutrition, among children on the rise

The government has been urged to include nutrition interventions in the country’s National Development Plans to combat malnutrition, particularly among children under five. This call comes in response to the 2024 report released by the Uganda National Bureau of Statistics (UBOS), which revealed that 26% of children under five are stunted, and 10% of newborns have low birth weight.
