Man arrested in Molotov cocktails attack in Japan | ABS-CBN News

A man was arrested for throwing Molotov cocktails at Japan’s ruling Liberal Democratic Party’s headquarters and trying to drive into the prime minister’s residence on Saturday (October 19), according to public broadcaster NHK. The 49-year-old suspect threw what appeared to be five Molotov cocktails at the LDP headquarters, but the fire was extinguished soon after with no injuries were reported, according to NHK. He was arrested after driving his car into a fence at the prime minister’s residence, NHK reported. The attack comes just over a week before the country’s general election.
