Man homeless after suspicious fire
A St. Michael man has been left homeless, after an early morning blaze. 65-year-old Anderson Bascombe tells CBC News he was asleep at his Cave Hill Main Road home when he was awakened by a bang. Mr. Bascombe revealed he has made numerous reports to police, as he has been receiving threatening text messages. He disclosed he spent several hours at the police station last night, prior to the fire. Officers at the district police station confirmed Mr. Bascombe had made a report and the matter is under investigation. Fire officials say two tenders and officers from the Bridgetown Port Fire Stations responded to the blaze around 1 o'clock this morning. They also confirmed this is the second time in as many weeks that they've been called to a fire at the residence. The timber home was uninsured.
