Man rides bike out of burning Pacific Palisades neighborhood

A man carrying bags of belongings and paintings rode out of his burning Pacific Palisades neighborhood on a bike surrounded by flying embers and smoke. The harrowing scene unfolded at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday as the Palisades Fire burned nearby residences. He was one of about 30,000 people under evacuations orders in the Palisades Fire, which started Tuesday morning in dry and extremely windy conditions in the coastal LA County community.
