Man who shot at B.C. RCMP detachment has prison sentence cut in half

The province's highest court has reduced a prison sentence from 10 years to five for the man convicted of shooting up the Vanderhoof RCMP detachment in 2021. Earlier this week, a B.C. Court of Appeal justice found the original sentence failed to fully weigh Paul Nicholas Russell's mental illness at the time.
