Manipur Violence Escalates, CM N Biren Singh Briefs Governor | India Today

The situation in Manipur has worsened with a fresh spate of violence since the first week of September. Aerial bombings, RPG launches, and the use of sophisticated assault weapons have escalated the tension. Amid this, Chief Minister N Biren Singh has briefed the Governor about the incidents. On Saturday, five people were killed in Jiribam district, reportedly part of ethnic clashes.
