Manufacturing hydrogen fertilizer - Uganda signs a joint development agreement with IPS

Government through the energy ministry facilitated by PACEID has signed a Joint Development Agreement with Industrial Promotion Services (IPS) Limited and Westgass International to set up a green hydrogen-based fertilizer plant worth USD 400 million in Karuma, Kiryandongo district. The project intends to foster domestic production, local supply and export of crop fertilizer utilizing electricity generated from the soon to be commissioned 600 MW Karuma dam
