The Monetary Authority of Singapore has kept monetary policy unchanged for the third consecutive meeting. This is in line with market expectations. The central bank has also lowered its overall inflation forecast for the year. It is now forecasting that overall inflation will come in between 2.5% and 3.5%, down from the previous range of 3% to 4%. Barring any further global shocks, MAS said the Singapore economy is expected to strengthen in 2024, with growth across various sectors.
