A powerful earthquake measuring 7.1 on the Richter scale struck Nepal at 6:35 AM, with tremors felt across parts of India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and China. The epicentre was located near Gokarneshwar in Nepal, close to the Tibet-Nepal border. Strong tremors were reported in Bihar, Sikkim, and as far as Delhi NCR.
