Thousands of people demonstrated in Yemen's Houthi-controlled capital, Sanaa, on January 12, following U.S. and UK air strikes in the country. The Iran-backed Houthis have organized protests nearly every Friday since the conflict between Israel and Hamas erupted on October 7. The U.S. and UK strikes, which killed five people and wounded six, followed weeks of Houthi attacks targeting commercial ships in the Red Sea.
