Matt Kean endorsed nuclear in interview with Sky News in 2021

Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell has revisited a 2021 interview with Incoming Climate Change Authority Chair Matt Kean where he endorsed nuclear energy when he was New South Wales Energy Minister. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has appointed former New South Wales treasurer Matt Kean as the Chair of the Climate Change Authority. “There’s some exciting things happening on the nuclear front,” Mr Kean told Mr Clennell in 2021. “Into the future, will nuclear have a role to play? I think so and I hope so, but, right now, I can’t bet on technology that isn’t readily available.”
