Criminals are now forcing Route 2 maxi taxi drivers to consider going on strike and shutting down their entire transportation network that connects the country from east to west. The maxi taxi drivers told CNC3 News they are under siege and say plying their trade has become unbearable. However, the acting president of the Route 2 Maxi Taxi Drivers Association, David Harewood is denying that any protest is being discussed. Instead, he says they have been meeting with PTSC, Transit Police, and the Police Service about their security and says a plan should be put in place to provide the drivers with protection while they work. Otto Carrington reports.
