Mbarara City launches plan to renovate Katete bridge

After months of public complaints, Mbarara City Council has launched the renovation and repair of Katete Bridge. According to Mbarara City Mayor Mr. Robert Mugabe Kakyebezi, the UPDF Engineering Brigade will begin work on the bridge, costing over 360 million shillings. The Ministry of Works had initially estimated the cost of constructing the vital Katete Bridge at over 600 million shillings.
