The Harrison's Point facility in St. Lucy has been transformed to a secondary hospital to handle any influx of patients during the ICC Men's T20 World Cup. This has been revealed by Director of Engineering Services at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Paula Agbowu. She says the Ministry of Health has been tasked with ensuring it is ready to handle any eventuality. Ms. Agbowu says while the primary building can hold up to 38 patients, the tertiary building is also being prepared to house another 90 to 110 patients. She says that number is based on staffing availability, which may require some people to be called out from vacation. The Hospital official explains the plan is for the sickest patients to be treated at the QEH.
