MEEI Continues To Provide Assistance To Tobago Following Oil Spill Off Canoe Bay

Minister of Energy and Energy Industries, Stuart Young, says his Ministry is assisting Tobago authorities with the oil spill on the island which resulted from a boat sinking in the Canoe Bay area. The Minister said officials from the Energy Ministry have been in constant communication with Tobago Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) and the Tobago House of Assembly since the incident. The vessel named "Gulf Stream" is lodged in a coral reef in the Canoe Bay area.
