Melbourne bid to host Gay Games

Victoria is now in the running to host the 2030 Gay Games after controversially ditching their bid for the 2026 Commonwealth Games. According to the Herald Sun, Melbourne has bid to host the ten-day event which promotes LGBTQI+ people and sports stars on the international stage. Melbourne will go up against nine other cities including Perth, Adelaide, Cape Town and Frankfurt.
