Mengo Hospital has urged the government to increase dialysis centres across the country to cater to the increasing number of patients with kidney disease. Currently, the kidney disease prevalence is estimated at 21%. However, the few dialysis centres make it impossible for some to get treatment. On average, a kidney patient spends up to one million shillings per week on dialysis treatment, which makes care too expensive. The call came as well-wishers gathered to raise funds for more dialysis machines.#NTVNews #NTVTonight #NTVWeekendEdition Subscribe to Our Channel For more news visit http://www.ntv.co.ug Follow us on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/ntvuganda Connect with us on Messenger via m.me/NTVUganda Contact us: CustomerCareUg@ug.nationmedia.com
