Menifee couple welcomes New Year's Day baby

This Menifee couple already has something to celebrate in 2025. Emeryn was the first newborn of the year at Riverside University Health System Medical Center. Originally due on Dec. 25, she was born at 2:27 a.m. New Year’s Day. Emeryn now holds the hospital record for the second-closest New Year’s Day birth to midnight. On Jan. 1, 2017, a baby was born at 12:45 a.m. Both parents are doing well. The couple has two other siblings.
