Mercy Tarus accused of contempt of court in Finland scholarship scandal case

A prominent witness in the 1.1 billion shilling Finland and Canada education scholarship scandal, Mercy Tarus, now faces accusations of contempt of court after failing to honour summons and discussing critical matters related to the case in public. Nakuru senior magistrate Peter Ndungu ruled that criminal contempt in the case against Uasin Gishu senator Jackson Mandago and county officials Meshack Rono and Joshua Lelei could have serious legal repercussions.
