Mi'kmaw family sues Nova Scotia Health Authority for alleged negligence in death of daughter

In Nova Scotia, an apology rings hollow for a Mi'kmaw family embroiled in a legal battle with the province's health authority. The family of Destiny Rennie says she was suffering symptoms of meningitis a year ago when she first went to hospital. They allege she was not treated properly, and her treatment was delayed because she was Indigenous. She died after six days in hospital.
