Following the quake, the PLA Western Theater Command quickly activated an emergency response mechanism and dispatched troops to the front line. An advance team jointly organized by the Aksu Military Division and the Wushi Squadron of the Armed Police Aksu Detachment headed for the epicenter in the mountainous area for post-earthquake reconnaissance.
