Military stand-off deal between India and China shows desire to prove BRICS relevance: Expert

Two of the world's biggest economies have held formal talks for the first time in five years. Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met on the sidelines at the BRICS summit in Russia on Wednesday (Oct 24). It comes days after both struck a deal to resolve a four-year military standoff along their disputed frontier in the Himalayan region.
