Minimum wage increase set to be gazetted in the coming days

Labour and Social Protection cabinet secretary Dr Alfred Mutua has inaugurated two key bodies to foster harmony within Kenya's labour sector. The National Labour Board and the General Wages Council, gazetted last week, will play crucial roles in addressing labour-related issues and determining workers’ wages. The new councils are expected to provide essential oversight and ensure fair wage structures are put in place, strengthening workers' rights and contributing to a more stable and prosperous economy.
