Minister Balaam in Colombia - Safe digital future for children

The Minister of State for Youth and Child Affairs, Balaam Barugahara, has emphasized Uganda’s efforts to protect children in the digital age. He was attending the Global Ministerial Conference on Safe Digital Futures for Children in Bogotá, Colombia, Balaam highlighted Uganda’s Child Help Care Online platform, which is designed to monitor and address online child abuse. In collaboration with the National Information Technology Authority (NITA), Uganda has introduced measures to regulate and monitor digital content accessed by youth aged 5 to 20 years.
