Minister dispels chicken rumours

Minister of Agriculture Indar Weir is dispelling rumours there's a glut of chicken on the island. In fact, he has called those stakeholders who are pushing this narrative to meet him at the negotiation table. Mr. Weir says no chicken was imported for the recently concluded ICC T-20 Men's Cricket World Cup. However, Mr. Weir says there were some whole chickens brought in over last year's Christmas period to supplement what was being produced, but wasn't completely sold out. He says he now has to meet with stakeholders to get an update on that matter.
