Minister stresses importance of early warning systems
Minister of Home Affairs, Wilfred Abrahams is stressing the importance of early warning systems, especially during the hurricane season. Despite the official start of the season being June 1st, he says Barbados has sought to ensure all of its readiness procedures are in place from May 1. He has praised the Barbados Meteorological Service and its staff under director, Sabu Best saying the Prime Minister has ensured money is invested in the department. Minister Abrahams was among the panel for an Ivan Plus 20 Policy Dialogue - part of the 14th Meeting of the Council of Ministers of CEDMA in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
