Ministry Organizes Walk For Health In Response To Rising Diabetes And Hypertension Cases

The Ministry of Health has organized a walk for health designed to encourage residents in health region three to take advantage of free health screening services and to adopt healthier lifestyles. The move is in response to an increase in diabetes and hypertension cases in the community. Health Region Three encompasses areas like Richfond and La Ressource. Last October the Ministry organized a similar activity designed to encourage attendance at local clinics which dropped dramatically after the COVID 19 pandemic.
