Minns government criticised for ‘backflip’ on controversial equality bill

Women’s Forum Australia Stephanie Bastiaan says it is “very concerning” the Minns government has done a “backflip” on Alex Greenwich’s equality bill. Ms Bastiaan’s comments come after NSW Premier Chris Minns said he’d be supporting the bill. “It is very concerning that the Minns government have done a backflip on this bill … suddenly there’s this new version and they’re now ramming it through,” Ms Bastiaan told Sky News host Rita Panahi. “This is going to impact women and girls in particular; it takes away their right to privacy.”
