MMDA prohibits mall-wide sales, allows outlet store sales | ABS-CBN News
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority has prohibited the holding of mallwide sales during the holidays but said individual stores can do sales but without major promotions. Gabriel Go, chief of the MMDA Special Operations Group Strike Force, said the ban is meant to lower traffic congestion ahead of the Christmas rush. “Outlet sales on the premises are allowed as long as there are no announcements,” he said. Mall operators have also adjusted mall opening hours to 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. or midnight.
