‘Moral duty’: Israel promises to rescue hostages after Iran attack

The IDF has claimed it has “not lost sight” of its critical mission in Gaza to rescue 133 hostages from Hamas terrorists. IDF Spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari insisted “even while under attack from Iran” Israel is determined to rescue hostages “from the hands of Iran’s-proxy Hamas.” His message came after Iran launched more than 300 missiles and drones in a direct attack on Israel. Most of those were intercepted by Israel's Iron Dome. The US has made it clear it will not participate in an offensive towards Iran, over concerns of further escalation.
