Minister of State for Social and Family Development Sun Xueling has called for more people to learn, recognise and report signs of domestic and sexual abuse. She was responding to questions in Parliament on a recent case of an abused teenager. The girl was assaulted by a man, who took her in following trauma she suffered with her mother's death and father's abuse. The man had been assessed to be a suitable caregiver.
