More support needed for elder care programme

The spotlight was also on provision of care for the elderly during today's Estimates Debate. Coordinator of the Community Elder Care Programme George Griffith says with a client base of over 900 individuals, the 420 volunteers at their disposal is insufficient. This, he says, coupled with the prevalence of dementia among seniors further underscores the need for greater support for the initiative.
