More than a month's worth of rain set to pummel Sydney this weekend

A driver has been rescued in Sydney's south after their vehicle was submerged by floodwaters, as the city is inundated with heavy rain. Emergency services in New South Wales have responded to more than 200 calls for help in the past 24 hours, 140 of those in metropolitan Sydney. More than 64 millimetres of rain fell in the CBD since Friday morning, 74 at the airport. The SES said Sydney is expected to receive more than a month's worth of rain in two days.
