Mount Everest growing taller each year

Mount Everest has grown between 15 to 50 metres in height according to a new study. The Arun River at its base is causing the rocks to erode, pushing the mountain higher than it otherwise would be. The finding by University College London shows the river will raise the mountain by two millimetres per year.
