Much more coming for ice skating in Barbados

The Barbados Ice Skating Association (BSA) held its awards ceremony recently at the Barbados Olympic Centre. It comes on the heels of a successful overseas trip to Miami, where the School of Skate-A-Holics, under the auspices of the BSA, received training and coaching for its members in ice skating. Medals were presented to competitors who were involved- from the minors to the adults sections. Acting Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment, Corey Lane, fully endorsed the efforts of the association. Meanwhile, the president of the Barbados Ice Skating Association, Raj Sharma, says this is the early stages of what promises to be an exciting road ahead for the sport on the island.
