Mulago launches “checklist tool” to improve on surgical operations

Mulago National Referral Hospital has come up with new innovation and tool called “checklist” to efficiently improve on surgical procedures at the hospital. Deputy executive director Dr. Fredrick Nelson Nakwagala, noted that the hospital has trained more medical experts in surgery department, especially in the use of Laparoscopy machines, to boost capacity building of human resource. This is all aimed at managing the increasing numbers of patients that require specialized surgery in the country.
