Mulago National Referral Hospital successfully conducts her first kidney transplant

Mulago National Referral Hospital has successfully conducted her first kidney transplant on a patient that has been on dialysis for 2 years. The minister for health Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng confirms that a team of Uganda medical experts with the help of Indian doctors performed the transplant on Wednesday. Dr. Aceng revealed this as she presided over the launch of the Kidney Transplant Program.
