MUSEVENI MEETS TOP NRM LEADERSHIP: AN 18.9 MILLION DIGITALIZED REGISTER PRESENTED TO PRESIDENT

The President, who received the copy from Secretary General Richard Todwong, is optimistic that this new development is a significant step toward a free and fair internal election process. The NRM Secretariat top management held a closed-door interaction on Monday, January 6, 2025, with the Party Chairman, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. Emmanuel Dombo, the Director in charge of communications in the NRM, was among the top management delegation that visited Rwakitura, the President’s home. The Party Chairman was briefed about the proposed NRM electoral roadmap. In a two-page post on his official X handle, President Museveni has rallied all party supporters to embrace the nationwide Electoral Commission exercise for voter register updates and verification. Museveni has appealed to all eligible voters—those over 18 years of age—to pay attention to this exercise, noting that it will be a cornerstone in preparing for the party's internal elections and in solidifying the foundation for the general elections.
