Museveni pardons 19 NUP detained supporters -
In exercise of the power vested in him under Article 12(1)(a) of the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda 1995 as amended, and on the advice of the Advisory Committee on the Prerogative of Mercy, president Yoweri Museveni Kaguta Tibuhaburwa, has granted a pardon of sentence to the 19 National Unity Platform supporter who had been arrested and detained for the offence of Treachery of the UPDF Act and unlawfully being in possession of Ammunition contrary to the Fire Arms Act.
