Nafiz Modack claims he bribed top cops with R3-million

The Western Cape High Court has heard how alleged underworld gang boss Nafiz Modack, tried to bribe high-ranking police officers Jeremy Vearey and Charl Kinnear. The state argues that Modack used the services of a middleman to develop a corrupt relationship with Vearey, Kinnear and other members of the Anti-Gang Unit. The unit - led by Kinnear - had seized firearms and ammunition from Modack's security guards in April 2017. Kinnnear was shot dead outside his house three years later. eNCA's Ayesha Ismail reports.
