NASA astronaut captures northern lights from space

NASA Astronaut Don Pettit captured the northern lights from space in footage released on Sunday (January 5). Pettit was above Eastern Canada when he orbited over the northern lights, also referred to as aurora borealis. "For big aurora displays, it is like we have been shrunk to some miniature dimension and inserted into a neon sign," he wrote on Reddit, where the video was originally posted.
