Nation Update: Alexandra Speech Day

The Alexandra School in St. Peter has recorded significant improvement in academic performance, with students achieving 130 Grade I passes at the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examinations in 2024, an increase from 112 in 2023. This achievement was highlighted during the school's Speech Day on Friday, held under the theme Building With Purpose. Featured speaker Carol Martindale, Editor-in-Chief at The Nation Publishing Co. Limited and an Alexandra alumna, during her address, acknowledged the challenges faced over the past year and encouraged students to seize new opportunities. Martindale emphasised that students and teachers could only follow the theme Building With Purpose if they themselves had a clear idea of the vision for the school.
